Here are some icons I recently designed for an application.

This web app & UX experience for my life was for a job application; find out more information here . It validates as HTML5 and CSS3. It’s a fluid design so it scales to your browser, go ahead and give it a try! It took me three days to build from start to finish, using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Javascript, 1140 Fluid Grid, Colorbox, LESS. It’s SEO optimized according to Google Standards. Measurements are built on the Golden Ratio. Resources for content include: Wikipedia, Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Gray’s Anatomy.

Implant Direct asked me to design their AO Booth for this years show in Washington, DC.  It had to be clear to convey the newly merged brand. The design went over so well, I have been tasked with designing their other tradeshow and international booths. Danaher CEO Larry Culp was in attendance at the AO Washington, DC and I received word he liked the booth.

I was actually hired by SIS to help with their re-brand. It involved a steep learning curve and a lot of investigation and trials to really explore what SIS needed to do to re-brand. I wanted something that would be engaging and visually stimulating. I had to first work with the team to define SIS; SIS designs dental implants for tooth replacement into bone, surgical technology systems, restorative aesthetic options, membranes, sutures, and solutions for the world of oral clinicians and bio-care life sciences corporations. SIS is a value conscious brand that should be perceived as a premium high-end brand. SIS is a physically responsible brand with a social objective that is striving to separate itself from an oversaturated market of different sameness. Choosing colors outside the space and adding organic elements, I sought to take ownership of elements and shapes not used in the market.

Senior Graphic Design Manager Jerry Jankowski asked me to create a style guide that he could distribute to distributors and freelance graphic designers to communicate the SybronEndo style and brand across the board. Jerry has developed a very specific look for the SybronEndo brand in the 5 years he has been their designer, so I knew it had to honor that brand equity. I added a few fresh ideas from my own perspective and delivered a complete product.

The web site re-brand was a project I came up with and worked on my own. I knew the web site needed an update and wanted to present something more contemporary and user friendly. I also employed SEO techniques while working with RCOM CMS.
